Update: Aggravated Robberies (Press Release)

ABILENE, TX – On September 14, 2012, the Abilene Police Department (APD) released a news release highlighting the circumstances involving the investigation and subsequent arrest of two armed robbery suspects; Paul M. Valadez and Eric G. Pack.

The investigation provided other leads implicating two more probable suspects. Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division and the Responsive Intelligence Division continued their investigation into Friday, September 14th. Christopher A. Pieczynski (DOB: 01/19/93) of Abilene and Anthony D. Carrillo Jr. (DOB: 04/26/93) of Abilene were contacted and interviewed about the aggravated robberies of four local businesses. The investigation into these additional suspects revealed that Mr. Pieczynski and Mr. Carrillo were both complicit and present during some or all of these robberies.

Mr. Pieczynski was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and is currently being held at Taylor County Jail on $400,000.00 bond. Mr. Carrillo was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated robbery and is currently being held at Taylor County Jail on $300,000.00 bond.

Though still an active investigation, APD believes that all suspects directly related to these robberies have been identified and arrested.
