Safety City unveils special needs vehicle (Press Release)

ABILENE TX- The Melvin Martin Center for Children’s Safety also known as Safety City, will unveil their newest and coolest car design on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. weather permitting. This car is a replica of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air considered one of America’s muscle cars and a classic icon.

The car is equipped with hand controls making it possible for children with certain disabilities to drive the vehicle using only their hands to maneuver it. Lawrence Hall along with pinstripe artist Steve Cox helped paint and design the car’s color scheme and pinstripes.
