Fatality Traffic Collision (Press Release)

On Monday, November 28th, 2011, at approximately 5:08 p.m., the Abilene Police Department received a report of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of East Highway 80 and Washington Boulevard. A white 2004 Ford Ranger pickup was Eastbound in the 700 block of East Highway 80, preparing to turn left (North) onto Washington Boulevard. The other vehicle involved, a blue 2010 Can-Am Spyder motorcycle, was Westbound in the outside lane of East Highway 80, approaching the intersection at Washington Boulevard. The Ford Ranger turned left as the Can-Am was entering the intersection, resulting in a collision at the intersection.

The operator of the Can-Am motorcycle, David Randall Josselet, a 50 year old white male of Breckenridge, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Deathridge. Next of kin has been notified.

This crash is under investigation by members of the Abilene Police Department’s Traffic Division. More information may be released as it becomes available.
