Motor Vehicle Crash 3700 Ridgemont Drive (Press Release)

ABILENE, TX - On March 30, 2014 at 1:19 a.m. officers of the Abilene Police Department Patrol Division responded to a major motor vehicle crash involving four vehicles in the 3700 block of Ridgemont Drive. A red 1994 GMC pickup occupied by the driver Jayton Glisson age 24 was traveling north on Ridgemont. He had one passenger Allen Prachyl age 23. Glisson lost control, left the roadway and struck three parked and unoccupied vehicles in the IHOP parking lot. The vehicle came to rest against a concrete utility pole. The Traffic Division responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Prachyl was transported by ambulance to Hendrick Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and a blood specimen was taken from Glisson. Due to Prachyl's injuries, Glisson was arrested for 3rd degree felony intoxication assault. The crash is under investigation by the Abilene Police Department's Traffic Division under case #14-5782. More information may be released as the investigation allows.
