Motor Vehicle Accident

ABILENE, TX – On November 12, 2014 at approximately 4:25 p.m. the Abilene Police Department received a call of a motor vehicle accident involving a truck running through a building. The accident occurred on the 3100 Blk. of Oldham Ln. at a 7-11 convenience store. Police arrived to find a 2011 Black Chevrolet Silverado C1500 had crashed through the wall of the store and came to rest inside. A female clerk was working the cash register at the time of the crash and was injured.

The driver of the truck is Scott Harmon, DOB 7/3/1962, from Abilene. He was the sole occupant of the truck and received minor injuries. The clerk who was injured in the crash is Teresa Reagan, DOB 2/13/1968 of Abilene. She was transported to Hendrick Medical Center with a broken arm and various other non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation shows that Mr. Harmon drove over the sidewalk and through the building while driving through the parking lot of the business. He had been observed driving erratically in the area before the accident. Alcohol is believed to be a factor and the investigation is ongoing.
