Recent Arrest of Burglar (Press Release)

On March 19, 2011 officers of the Abilene Police Department responded to an alarm at Hastings Books Music and Video located at 4701 South 14th. Within minutes of receiving the alarm call, officers were on scene and had a subject in custody. The subject was identified as Vincent Arrazola (H/M DOB 12/03/85). Mr. Arrazola had attempted to break into Hastings and was arrested for Attempted Burglary. The Criminal Investigations Division then began an investigation on Mr. Arrazola. They received information leading to the location of stolen property where Mr. Arrazola was staying. Detectives then spoke with Mr. Arrazola about the stolen property. During this investigation, Mr. Arrazola was linked to six different burglaries to include the Abilene Public Library (Downtown) on two separate occasions and Mann Middle School. Vincent Arrazola is currently in jail on a $2,000.00 bond from the arrest on March 19, 2011 for Attempted Burglary. These new cases will be filed with the Taylor County District Attorney’s office for additional charges on Vincent Arrazola.
