Police investigating homicide in South Abilene (Press Release)

On May 30, 2015 Police were called to the 900 block of Ballinger at 9:56 a.m. The caller reported a 26 year old white female was found deceased. No other persons were at the residence. Patrol and Investigative personnel responded and are treating this as a homicide. Investigators are currently following up on several leads. More information may be released at a later time.

The victim in this case has been identified as:

Alexis Baker, a white female, age 26.

Her body has been transported to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

Investigators have several good leads they are following in this case and more information may be released in the coming days. As always, active investigations are dynamic environments during which information may change.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Baker's family during this terrible time.
