Police arrest a man for Aggravated Sexual Assault (Press Release)

ABILENE TX- On Monday, August 10, Abilene Police Detectives arrested 28 year old Lavanders Marquis Muskin for First Degree Felony Aggravated Sexual Assault. Police received a call on Monday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. from a woman claiming she was sexually assaulted at gunpoint by her cousin’s boyfriend at their north Abilene home. The suspect was not at the home when police arrived to take the victim’s statement. Through the investigation, police learned the name of the suspect was Lavanders Marquis Muskin of Mississippi. He was in Abilene visiting his girlfriend who lived at the home on the 5000 block of Congress where the assault took place. Muskin was brought in for questioning and after further investigation, he was arrested and charged with First Degree Felony Aggravated Sexual Assault.

Muskin was positively identified by two other women as the person who assaulted them at gunpoint at their residence on the 600 block of Ruidosa Avenue a few days ago. One of the women was sexually assaulted. The investigation continues.
