One Suspect Arrested for Weekend Stabbing (Press Release)

ABILENE, TX – On Monday, April 11, 2016, Abilene Police Detectives arrested James Harrell (42) and charged him with First Degree Felony Aggravated Assault. Harrell is suspected of stabbing his roommate, Timothy Davis (44), after an altercation at a residence located on the 800 Block of N. Jefferson.

On April 8, 2016, at 10:45 p.m. Police received the call of an injured subject on the 800 Block of N. Jefferson Street. Police arrived to find Mr. Davis sitting in a chair on the porch bleeding heavily from his torso, suffering from several deep lacerations. Davis was severely injured, barely conscious and unable to speak with police. He was transported to the hospital where he remains. Through the course of the investigation, James Harrell was identified as the suspect in the attack and was subsequently arrested. He is being held at the Taylor County Jail on the above charge on a $45,000 bond.
