Abilene Police Department Releases Informational Video on Traffic Stops (Press Release)

ABILENE, TX – In response to citizen requests and in furtherance of professional policing, the Abilene Police Department has produced a video which helps explain what a driver should do when they are stopped by a police officer. The video answers many of the questions which may arise during a traffic stop. There has been much discussion around the nation regarding negative contacts between officers and citizens. Our goal is to highlight proper, professional interactions between officers and citizens in our community. We want both our officers and citizens to feel secure in this process.

We encourage businesses, schools, organizations and churches to use this video to help further educate our community on how to interact during a traffic stop. We welcome this dialogue as we are better together. The link to the video via the Abilene Police Department’s YouTube Channel is:
