Four Suspects in Custody after Firing a Weapon and Evading Police (Press Release)

ABILENE, TX – 2- eighteen year old and 2 – seventeen year old males were taken into custody on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Leonard Limones (17), brother Jesse Limones (18), Christopher Clinton (17) and David Silva (18), were all taken into police custody after trying to evade Police this morning in South Abilene. A resident on the 1800 Block of Colony Hill Rd. near Kirby Lake, called dispatch at 7:40 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Police arrived to find an abandoned vehicle stuck in the mud on the southeast area of the lake. The four suspects fled the area but were subsequently captured by police.

Police did recover a handgun which had been reported stolen last year in Abilene. The four suspects face various charges including Misdemeanor Evading Arrest, Unlawful Carry of Weapon and Felony Theft of a Firearm. Other charges are possible pending the investigation. The incident lasted over four hours and several officers responded to the incident. No injuries were reported although one officer was treated for heat exhaustion.
