Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle (Press Release)

ABILENE, TX – A 17 year old Abilene teen was struck by a vehicle in north Abilene just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Abilene Police were called out to the scene of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle and lying in the roadway near the intersection of North Judge Ely Blvd. and Ambler Ave.

Witnesses at the scene say 17 year old Brayden Farmer had went into the roadway to retrieve a skateboard. A 2008 Nissan car, driven by 29 yr. old James Jones of Abilene, was traveling south on Judge Ely and hit him. Farmer was lying in the roadway when emergency crews arrived. He suffered a severe head injury and was transported to a local hospital. He was subsequently transferred to John Peter Smith hospital in Ft. Worth due to the severity of his injury.
