ABILENE, TX – The Abilene Police Department invites you to National Night Out (NNO) 2018 as we say farewell to the Law Enforcement Center. This year’s event will take place on Tuesday, October 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Center, 450 Pecan St. We will say good-bye to the place APD has called home for many years. The evening will feature free food & drinks, music and events for the entire family. The Abilene Police Department will speak about crime statistics. City of Abilene Administration and City Council members will be present to talk to neighbors about community issues.

National Night Out was instituted in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch. It was meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, connecting neighbors with neighbors and other anti-crime efforts. It has since grown throughout the nation and right here in Abilene. This event is free to the public. We want to see everyone come out and celebrate our community with us.
