Police Seeking Public Help to Find Hit and Run Suspect (Press Release)

ABILENE, TX – Police are searching for the driver of a dark colored Ford Mustang, with black or darker colored racing stripes, possibly 2012 or newer. The driver of the vehicle struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk located on Judge Ely and EN 10th Street on Tuesday, June 4, at 4:14 p.m. and immediately left the scene of the crash.

The pedestrian was crossing EN 10th Street at the crosswalk when the driver of the Ford Mustang struck him, sending him partially onto the hood of the vehicle and landing in the roadway. Witnesses say the driver fled the scene, heading east on EN 10th St. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Mustang may have damage to the front end of the vehicle from the crash.
